Binance restricted my account after suspicious activity. What should I do?
FAQ | Updated 2026-03-18
What to do first
- Stop using new devices or networks for that account unless Binance requests a security check.
- Save screenshots of the restriction notice, ticket numbers, balances, and any warning banners.
- Secure your email, reset passwords, and enable app-based 2FA if you still control the account.
What evidence Binance usually needs
- Your UID, registered email, timestamps, and any login or device alerts shown around the restriction.
- TXIDs, deposit and withdrawal addresses, asset amounts, and screenshots from blockchain explorers.
- A short explanation of why the activity may be tied to a scam case or compromised wallet.
How to write the support request
- Keep the report factual and chronological.
- Explain what happened, which assets are affected, and what review you want Binance to perform.
- Attach the transaction trail rather than broad accusations.
Avoid these mistakes
- Do not send conflicting tickets with different timelines.
- Do not move funds through third parties to 'clean up' the trail.
- Do not pay anyone claiming they can unlock the account privately.
