I sent crypto to Binance on the wrong network. Can it still be recovered?

FAQ | Updated 2026-03-18

Immediate checks

  • Confirm the asset, selected network, receiving address, TXID, and the Binance deposit address shown at the time.
  • Check whether Binance supports both the asset and the network that was actually used.
  • Preserve screenshots from the sending wallet or exchange before anything changes.

What to send to support

  • The TXID, sender address, destination address, amount, timestamps, and the intended versus actual network.
  • Screenshots of the Binance deposit page and the completed transfer from the sending platform.
  • A direct request asking whether manual recovery is available and whether a handling fee applies.

What affects the outcome

  • Recovery is more realistic when the destination address is controlled by Binance.
  • Unsupported chains or unmonitored routes may not be recoverable.
  • Sending a second test transfer usually does not help.

What to avoid

  • Do not trust Telegram or email 'recovery agents'.
  • Do not share seed phrases, API keys, or remote access.
  • Do not leave out important identifiers in the support ticket.
