I sent crypto to Binance on the wrong network. Can it still be recovered?
FAQ | Updated 2026-03-18
Immediate checks
- Confirm the asset, selected network, receiving address, TXID, and the Binance deposit address shown at the time.
- Check whether Binance supports both the asset and the network that was actually used.
- Preserve screenshots from the sending wallet or exchange before anything changes.
What to send to support
- The TXID, sender address, destination address, amount, timestamps, and the intended versus actual network.
- Screenshots of the Binance deposit page and the completed transfer from the sending platform.
- A direct request asking whether manual recovery is available and whether a handling fee applies.
What affects the outcome
- Recovery is more realistic when the destination address is controlled by Binance.
- Unsupported chains or unmonitored routes may not be recoverable.
- Sending a second test transfer usually does not help.
What to avoid
- Do not trust Telegram or email 'recovery agents'.
- Do not share seed phrases, API keys, or remote access.
- Do not leave out important identifiers in the support ticket.
